Dr. Anthony Fauci has dismissed Joe Rogan's claims that there's no need for young people to get vaccinated as selfish and ill-informed.

Rogan set off a firestorm Tuesday for telling millions of listeners of his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast that there was no need for 'fit, young, healthy' people to be vaccinated.

The comments provoked an immediate backlash on social media, with many accusing Spotify of helping their $100 million star spread COVID-19 misinformation that would discourage people from getting vaccinated and get Americans killed.

Speaking on The Today Show Wednesday, Fauci, the director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Rogan was 'incorrect' about young people not needing to be vaccinated.
